Garry Kleer
In 1994, Kleer joined First Bank Richmond and, in 2001, he became president and CEO of First Bank Richmond, president and CEO of Richmond Mutual Bancorporation and chairman of Mutual Federal Savings Bank. Under his leadership, the bank has added five new branches and expanded the main office to both sides of the first block of North Ninth Street, including the distinctive sky bridge between the buildings. Kleer is active in the community, serving as board member for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County, the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Wayne County Revolving Loan Fund, Reid Hospital Foundation, Dunn Center/Centerstone Foundation and Forrest Hills Country Club. He has previously been involved with Junior Achievement, Communities in Schools, Leadership Wayne County, Richmond Sanitary District, Richmond Redevelopment Commission, Richmond Civic Theatre, Chamber of Commerce, Achieva Resources, Wernle Youth and Family, First Tee, Richmond Evening Optimist, Seton Catholic Schools, and the Townsend Center. Kleer and his wife, Cheryl, have two children, Elizabeth and David, and two grandchildren.
