COVID-19 Protocols

The RSO prioritizes the safety of its musicians, staff and patrons. Gathering your input, consulting with Wayne County Health Department and receiving guidance from Richmond Community Schools, we have decided to return to the hall with the following protocols:

  • Those attending pre-concert conversations must sit in their assigned concert seats.
  • The hall will be opened 90 minutes before each performance to create an increased staggered arrival time.
  • Guests are encouraged to create an increased staggered arrival time.
  • Guests are encouraged to dismiss intermittently.
  • The orchestra will take a 15-minute intermission; however, to discourage gathering, the staff will not offer refreshments. Guests are asked to remain in their seats and only enter the lobby to use the restroom.
  • Restrooms in the back hall are closed to the audience.
  • All members of the orchestra and those allowed backstage must provide proof of vaccination.
  • While the RSO is not requiring proof of vaccination, we are expecting all attendees to indicate on the ticket form whether or not they are vaccinated. Nonvaccinated guests will be seated in a specified location.
  • Until further notice, all rehearsals are closed to the public.
  • For the health and wellbeing of musicians and the audience, the RSO supports Richmond Community Schools’ mask guidelines. Masks are optional in Civic Hall but highly encouraged.
  • Knowing the COVID-19 situation is ever-changing, restrictions may need to be modified by the board or school system throughout the season. We appreciate your flexibility and cooperation.
