Guy Bordo and the RSO display the glories of the string ensemble in 19th and 20th century music drawn mostly from eastern and central Europe, with works by Bartok, Gorecki, Hovhaness, Elgar, Dvorak, and Mendelssohn. Concertmaster Mari Thomas will solo in the charming Violin Concerto by the great Fritz Kreisler.
Guest Artist: Mari ThomasMari Thomas has been the concertmaster for the RSO since 2015. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music where she was awarded a Bachelor of Music and an Artist Diploma in Violin Performance.
