Our first concert for our 2025-2026 A Place To Belong season, American Rhythm & Color, was nothing short of fantastic! We had an incredible opening turnout to kickoff our season at 875 guests in attendance. RSO has been seeing some really fantastic attendance as of late, and we are thrilled that rolled right into this season!
American Rhythm & Color paid a beautiful tribute to the legacy Richmond has with jazz music. Pieces from Adams and Gershwin offered a vibrantly fun, and jazzy composition that led to the evenings conclusion with Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. The evening in Civic Hall was a whirlwind of beauty, joy, and emotional triumph. We cannot thank everyone who played a role in that night enough for making such a memorable first concert back to the mainstage!
The fun doesn’t stop there! We are already looking towards our next concert, Brass & Blockbusters, our first of two Family Concerts. These concerts are a little bit shorter, roughly an hour in length, and offer a more light and fun atmosphere for all! This concert will focus on the theme, An Afternoon At The Movies, where the symphony will perform various scores from cinema. It’s going to be a really great time, we can’t wait for you to experience it on Sunday, October 12th at 3pm!
