Musicians In Schools

RSO begins its newest program in 2025. The musicians of the RSO can be welcomed right into your classroom for a FREE 30-45 minute demonstration of an instrument of your choice!

Musicians in Schools is available for classroom Pre-K – High School.

Education Concert

Returning to youth programming in 2025 thanks to the support of the Ronald L. McDaniel Foundation, all Wayne County third and fourth graders are invited to attend a one-hour symphony concert on October 27th, 2025, featuring the families and instruments of the orchestra.

Schools will be notified in August when the window for reservations opens.

RSO Scholars

The RSO, in partnership with Earlham College and IU East, has selected 10 dedicated Richmond High School music students for the 2025-2026 program.

RSO Scholars will receive:

  • Weekly private lessons with an Earlham or IU East instructor on their instrument 
  • Opportunities to volunteer at RSO concerts and events
  • Rehearsal observations and other behind-the-scenes experiences
  • Performance opportunities
