Percussionist Rebecca Villarreal leads a multifaceted career as a solo performer, orchestra and chamber musician, and arts marketer. Currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio, she is an in-demand orchestra percussionist with recent engagements including the Dayton Philharmonic, the Dallas Pops, and the Richmond Symphony Orchestra.

Passionate about the creation, promotion, and performance of contemporary music, Rebecca has performed with concert:nova as both a solo and ensemble player, was a founding member of the percussion quartet Freeform Percussion, and premiered a new work for large percussion ensemble at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in 2015. Equally invested in advocating the advancement of orchestral music, Rebecca works in marketing for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. In addition, she has also served as adjunct percussion faculty at the CCM Preparatory Department and has worked as a percussion instructor throughout Texas and Southern Ohio.

Rebecca holds degrees from the University North Texas, where she studied with Christopher Deane, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied with James Culley.
