Decoding the Composers
RSO prioritizes the safety of its musicians and patrons above all else. As a regional orchestra, RSO takes into consideration the weather conditions of the region.
The orchestra was on stage on Saturday for five hours of rehearsal, and your support and generosity made it possible to pay them in full despite the loss of a rehearsal and concert.
Know that the musicians are relieved that they can travel home in the daylight before the temperatures drop, but they are also very disappointed as they had prepared a concert for you they were very proud to present.
At this time, there are no immediate plans to reschedule.
Music lovers will revel in the beauty and complexity of this repertoire, which ranges from Neoclassical to Classical. This concert explores the evolution of composing, opening with an exciting composition from Gabriela Lena Frank, one of America’s rising Latina composers followed by Stravinsky’s beloved Pulcinella Suite. It concludes with Mozart’s mathematically precise “Jupiter” Symphony.
