Our 2025-2026 A Place To Belong season has been going strong, and Love & Transformation was no different! We had a fantastic turnout for our evening of romance with 884 guests in attendance. We saw a lot of first time attendees and a uniquely multi-generational crowd in attendance!

Guest soloist Sterling Elliott was a hit with all in attendance. His youthful charm and incredible skill to make his cello sing, everyone in Civic Hall was captivated. Elliott performed a unique cello piece, Julie-O, as an encore. Utilizing various playing techniques, the style stood out and commanded attention from the crowd. It was perfect.

Not only did Elliott move the hearts of those in attendance on Saturday, he also spent Friday attending the band and orchestra classes at Richmond High School. He shared with the students his story of becoming a professional musician, his passion for the art, and giving a few performances. It was an incredibly inspiring weekend with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, and we hope all of those who were a part of it felt like RSO was A Place To Belong.

Want to see more of the symphony? We have two classical concerts left this season!
