RSO Returns to Bethany Theological Seminary for Two Free Winter Recitals!
Bethany welcomes the return of Richmond Symphony Orchestra for two intimate performances in Nicarry Chapel. The recitals will be held Sundays, February 22 at 3:00pm and March 8, at 5:00pm at Bethany Theological Seminary, 615 National Rd West.
The Recital Series is a collaboration between Bethany and the RSO, featuring symphony members in small ensembles. Admission is free and open to the public; RSVPs are encouraged but not required. Please RSVP to receive up-to-date reminders and information. Refreshments will be served following the performance.
March 8: Attendees will be treated to a quartet of flute, clarinet, piano and harp. Musical selection will incorporate some birdsong pieces and the shakuhachi flute made from Japanese bamboo. Pieces will include a few of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s flute and harp concertos, and “Birding in the Palisades” by Amanda Harburg. The quartet includes: Tamara Thweat, principal flute, and friends Christina Martin, clarinet, Rebecca Sorley, piano, and Melanie Mashner, harp.
Parking Details:
- Main Lot: Located on the west side of the Bethany Center, accessible from National Road.
- Visitor Parking: Two handicap-designated spaces and three additional spots are at the main entrance of the Bethany Center off National Road.
- Overflow Parking: A large lot is available adjacent to the Earlham College public safety offices.
